What is Coaching?
80% of people who receive coaching report increased self-confidence, and over 70% benefit from improved work performance, relationships, and more effective communication skills. 86% of companies report that they recouped their investment on coaching and more (source: ICF 2009).
Like a sports coach, an executive coach works with the individual (or team) to maximise their potential and achieve their goals. However, unlike a sports coach, a business coach does not prescribe how to achieve success, but asks questions to allow the individuals to find the solutions, and the resolve, to achieve their goals.
A core underlying principal of coaching is that the client, you, have everything that you need to be successful. The coach’s role, my role, is to work with you to surface this inner potential and challenge you on what’s stopping you from progressing with your goals.
Typically, once we have agreed to work together, we will have a number of sessions, which may be face-to-face or via a virtual meeting platform (eg Zoom). In these sessions I will invite you to talk freely and without judgement, and we will explore together your challenges and what resources you need and actions you can take to overcome them.
